- I am looking to send traps to 2 receivers. Is this possible? I found trapsink, and informsink and I am using it to send traps. I was wondering if the directives can be combined to send traps to two different trap receivers..
My Response:
- The command line tools don't support multiple destinations at the moment. However, snmpd does. You can configure snmpd with multiple trap destinations and start it up. Then you can use the 'agentxtrap' application to send a trap through a running snmpd to its list of configured destinations. 'agentxtrap' is new in 5.6 though, so make sure you use a recent version of Net-SNMP. -- Wes 13:48, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
