This shouldn't happen with version 4.2 or later, but for older version the following still applies:
Some users note that UCD-SNMP applications always generate larger PDUs than other SNMP packages, even if the information requested is the same. Further, there are some agents that refuse PDUs from UCD-SNMP applications but accept PDUs from other applications.
UCD-SNMP is based on the CMU code from a long time ago which encoded things using the long form of length encoding. Some agents use the short form of length encoding only, and do not understand the long form.
This should not be a problem with UCD v4.2 or higher, or the Net-SNMP releases.
